"Salmon Going Nuggetz" is a tasty new twist to fish. Coming from generations of good southern food cooking on both sides of my family. From my grandparents down to my parents - one thing my family and I believe are the choices we make about what we eat and where it comes from and how it's prepared, have a direct and powerful impact on the health of individuals, communities, and what goes into the environment. Growing up and watching them use the freshest ingredients and flavors, I knew how I would cook for my family and other's oneday. Growing up in the San Francisco Bay area in the western addition (The Fillmore District), no matter where you lived in the neighborhood, everybody knew each other and we were a family oriented community. We would even go to our friends houses and their family would fed everybody in the neighborhood-it was a "norm" to eat good food growing up. Sunday dinners were always the family tradition to eat together, even if it was at my grandparents house. For me, knowing how to cook and knowing good food, was a natural not a force. 

My mother and father cooked everyday and I would just watch and learn. My father and Uncle (The Laws Brother’s) had restaurants, Burger spots, and sandwich shops and I would help cook and knew this is what I wanted to do.

As we keep the tradition going- we continue to provide each guest with personal care and service. I want to keep the Laws Legacy going of serving good comfort and fun food and treating our guests like they're at home, like back in those good old days when you were with your grandparents and parents, cousins and friends eating together, dancing, laughing, and enjoying one another. 

So my children and I decided to walk in my father's footsteps with our own twist with the same traditional foods. 

Salmon Going Nuggetz, is what we want to live through with the Legacy they left us and do what we love the best- which is cooking. Anyone who knows the Laws family, knows we love to cook and share.

For us, our quality is our passion for cooking. Most people won't consider cooking as a quality, but for us it is. 

Watching my parents in the kitchen on Waller St., were aspirations to pursue my own. With the effort they put in, their food always turned out delicious and people loved it.

Salmon Going Nuggetz is a family-owned restaurant with a new funky twist. Our family tradition and Mission is simple as our food is made with the finest ingredients and flavors while surprising and exciting each of our customers with personal care and Service as if they were at home with the Laws family.
Rebuilding the Bay Area communities and neighborhoods into a black food and culture spot for everyone to eat and enjoy.

“My mom and dad's model always have been- when we would laugh and talk” they say:
" Food should taste good, Food should feel good and be prepared with love and shared with others". This legacy I am building is for my children and their children- and for them to keep the legacy going!
